Fighter Bout Drop Rules
- FIGHTERS & TRAINERS
- If you commit to a fight card, we take your commitment SERIOUSLY!
- You have now accepted an opportunity to perform on an IKF Sanctioned event.
- You have filled up a match spot that many other fighters could have had or
wished they had, yet this opportunity has been given to YOU.
- That being said...
- Anytime you pull out your committed fight you have now let many others
down.
- The event Promoter who has given you the opportunity to participate on his
or her event, and more so, your opponent who has been training hard to prepare
him or herself for their match with you.
- If you pull off a fight card within 15 days of
your scheduled event/bout, the IKF
is informed by the event promoter and the IKF
will remove your name from the bout card and place you on the
IKF CA Suspension page.
- To be cleared to fight again, you must do the following:
- IF YOU PULL FROM YOUR BOUT DUE TO
MEDICAL INJURY
- If you pull off the event due to a medical injury you will be given an
automatic "Medical" Suspension and placed on the IKF CA Suspension page found
HERE.
- If your injured and cannot participate, we do not want you to injure
yourself worse or book yourself on another event until you have been Medically
Cleared.
- To avoid a 1 year suspension and possible
**Fines, you must provided a Doctor
note explaining the injury that you have or had and that you were unable to
compete on the event date.
- Once attained, this Doctor's letter needs to be sent out via E-mail to the
IKF at
main@ikfkickboxing.com
- TRAINERS: Trainer Suspension could
mirror the same time as Fighter - At a Minimum - Trainer would be Suspended half
the Fighter Suspension Time.
- HOW TO BECOME MEDICALLY CLEARED TO FIGHT AGAIN
Since we have no
way of knowing how serious your injury may be, to be released from your Medical
Suspension, you will need to again, provided a Doctor note explaining the injury
that you had and that the signing Doctor (MD) has now cleared you to compete in
a FULL CONTACT FIGHT SPORT. Once attained, this Doctor's letter needs to be sent
out via E-mail to the IKF at
main@ikfkickboxing.com
to release you from your Medical Suspension.
- IF YOU PULL FROM YOUR BOUT DUE TO
PERSONAL REASONS
- You will be given an automatic 45 day Personal Time Suspension to deal with
whatever personal issues took you out of your committed bout.
- Depending on how close in date you are to your committed bout/event, you
could still face a **Promoter Reimbursement Fine.
- TRAINERS: Trainer Suspension could
mirror the same time as Fighter - At a Minimum - Trainer would be Suspended half
the Fighter Suspension Time.

Promoter Reimbursement Fine
- FINES AND SUSPENSIONS ARE "ALWAYS"
APPLIED FOR A FIGHTER WHO NO SHOWS TO AN EVENT WEIGH-IN
- These fines, if applied are paid 100% to the event Promoter.
- They would cover any cost the Promoter has lost if he or she is unable to
replace you as an opponent.
- These Fines are more common when a fighter pulls out the week of the event
and even more so, if the promoter has spent money for an out of town fighter or
a Title Bout.
- Fines could include: Title Belt Fees, Title Bout Sanctioning Fees, Hotel
Fees for your opponent, Travel Fees for your opponent and any other related
promoter expenses.
- TRAINERS: Trainer Suspension could
mirror the same time as Fighter - At a Minimum - Trainer would be Suspended half
the Fighter Suspension Time.
- The closer it is to your scheduled
event, the more extensive the Fines and Suspension.
Fighter's MISSED WEIGHT
Disciplinary Suspensions
- CONFIRMED WEIGHT COMMITMENT
- If you commit to a fight card AND A FIGHT WEIGHT, your commitment is taken
VERY SERIOUSLY!
- You have now accepted an opportunity to perform on an IKF Sanctioned event.
- You have filled up a match spot that many other fighters could have had or
wished they had, yet this opportunity has been given to YOU.
- MISSED WEIGHT - BOUT STILL HAPPENS
- Anytime you failed to weigh-in at or under the bout maximum weight and at
or above the minimum weight spread, there are the following decisions to be
made:
- You can work to make your committed fight weight (You can only lose
weight, you cannot gain weight at a weigh-in)
- Most promoters allow a 1 pound over for bouts, even their "Promotional
titles". However, you must confirm this with the promoter.
- There are NO Weight Allowances on any and all "IKF
Sanctioned" titles.
- IF you can get within the Legal IKF Weight Spread of your opponent, even if
over or under weight, your opponent could sign-off that they will fight you even
if not within the confirmed weightclass.
- It is also your opponents right and privileged to deny the bout due to your
failure to make the agreed weight.
- If your final weight is NOT within the confirmed weight class you will be
automatically suspended 30 Days "PER POUND"

Trainer would be Suspended half the Fighter Suspension Time. } you are out
of the scheduled weightclass.
- If the bout is cancelled or not accepted by your opponent, you could face a
Promoter Reimbursement Fine.
- These fines, if applied are paid 100% to the event Promoter.
- They would cover any cost the Promoter has lost if he or she is unable to
replace you as an opponent.
- Fines could include: Ticket sale refunds, Hotel Fees for your opponent, If
a title, Title Belt Fees, Title Bout Sanctioning Fees, Travel Fees for your
opponent and any other related promoter expenses.
- TRAINERS: Trainer Suspension could
mirror the same time as Fighter - At a Minimum - Trainer would be Suspended half
the Fighter Suspension Time.
- MISSED WEIGHT - BOUT CANCELLED
- Anytime you failed to weigh-in under the bout maximum weight and above the
minimum weight spread, there are the following decisions to be made:
- It is your opponents right and privileged to deny the bout due to your
failure to make the agreed weight.
- If your final weight is NOT within the confirmed weight class you will be
automatically suspended 30 Days "PER POUND"

Fees for your opponent and any other related promoter expenses.
