"The Success of Our Promoters Will Reflect in the Success of the IKF!"

The above was made clear by IKF President Steve Fossum at a recent IKF meeting at the beginning of October 2000. Mr. Fossum stressed the Chief Position of the IKF Promotional Team is not unnecessarily to Promote their own events, but to mainly assist IKF Promoters in making their IKF Sanctioned Events a Success.

Fossum's goal is to work closely with IKF Associates to seek National and International Sponsorship for IKF Promoters so they will be able to match more International Bouts, Match more World Titles, offer Larger Financial Fight Purses along with bringing financial assistants to IKF Event Promoters via way of large sponsors. Fossum still believes his best work for the sport as the President of the IKF is to focus on what has made the IKF the success it is today;

"An Updated News and Information Source for Kickboxing around the World as a TRUE, Kickboxing Sanctioning Body."

"Sure, I'd love to promote events again." Said Fossum, "But in my opinion, it's not my best area. My best area is in organizing and coordinating the works of the IKF around the world from our headquarters. We already have many Great IKF Promoters. It's just that they, like everyone, need some support from home base such as the organizational efforts of sponsorship for larger purses, better venues, international bouts, print media sources as well as our main goal of TV coverage. It "SHOULD" be our job to seek out financial help as well as more valuable media exposure for our promoters. I would much rather be a part of something greater that can be accomplished by a TEAM EFFORT rather than do as other organizations have which is take the TV money, sponsorship money etc. and pocket it for themselves instead of assisting their promoters. Great things can be accomplished by TEAM EFFORT which has been proven by the success of the IKF around the World today."

The following IKF Associates are committed to work together in building this TEAM Promotional Concept to it's fullest. They include but are not limited to the following IKF Team Members...
