First Promoted event.
In regards to this event Title, Fossum's first "The
Making Of Team USA" Event was Sanctioned by the WKA.

CA, 0-1) by UNANIMOUS DECISION: 30-26, 29-27, 30-27
John Hahn was the first IKF winner.
- MIKE KOLIN (166, Fairfield, CA, 1-0) defeated ETHAN
NUTTER (171, Sacramento, CA, 0-1) BY UNANIMOUS DECISION: 29-28,
29-28, 29-28.
- MARK BERNIER (168, Sacramento, CA, 2-0) defeated TONY
GUNN (171, Concord, CA, 0-1) BY TKO IN FIRST ROUND.
Mark Bernier scored the first win by TKO in IKF History.
- JOHN PARKER (143, Fairfield, CA, 2-0) defeated PERCEY
ALEXANDER (141, Redding, CA, 0-1) BY KO at 1:58 OF FIRST ROUND
Parker scored the first win by KO. One of the most devastating
knockouts EVER!
Alexander was "OUT", flat on his back!

BROWN (187, Sacramento, CA, 3-0) defeated KEN MORGAN (178,
Long Beach, CA, 3-1) BY TKO at :56 of the 3rd ROUND.
Jim Brown becomes
the very first IKF title holder. Brown
later retired for a career as a bodyguard with a 3-1 record with 3 KO's. His
only defeat came from a last round knockout by Boyd Murphy in Tahoe
Nevada. Brown was winning the fight on all 3 cards, then came the Punch
out of NOWHERE. Brown was down and OUT. The bout was
booked on the undercard of a co-sanctioned bout with PKC and WKA and was live on
PPV. It featured Alexio vs Russell, Roufus Vs McDonald and Torres Vs Anget. With
these 2 top Amateurs fighting, it should have been a title, but somehow it
wasn't.
