"The Making of Team USA *II"
AUGUST 1st, 1992 - ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA, USA

(*) Although this was the first IKF Sanctioned Event, it was not Steve Fossum's First Promoted event.
In regards to this event Title, Fossum's first "The Making Of Team USA" Event was Sanctioned by the WKA.

  1. FIRST EVER IKF FIGHT
    JOHN HAHN
    (165, Sacramento, CA, 1-0) defeated DAVID GRIFFITHS (167, Fairfield, CA, 0-1) by UNANIMOUS DECISION: 30-26, 29-27, 30-27
    John Hahn was the first IKF winner.

  2. MIKE KOLIN (166, Fairfield, CA, 1-0) defeated ETHAN NUTTER (171, Sacramento, CA, 0-1) BY UNANIMOUS DECISION: 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.

  3. MARK BERNIER (168, Sacramento, CA, 2-0) defeated TONY GUNN (171, Concord, CA, 0-1) BY TKO IN FIRST ROUND.
    Mark Bernier scored the first win by TKO in IKF History.

  4. JOHN PARKER (143, Fairfield, CA, 2-0) defeated PERCEY ALEXANDER (141, Redding, CA, 0-1) BY KO at 1:58 OF FIRST ROUND
    Parker scored the first win by KO. One of the most devastating knockouts EVER!
    Alexander was "OUT", flat on his back!


  5. THE FIRST IKF TITLE BOUT
    FOR THE VACANT IKF FCR UNITED STATES CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE
    JIM BROWN
    (187, Sacramento, CA, 3-0) defeated KEN MORGAN (178, Long Beach, CA, 3-1) BY TKO at :56 of the 3rd ROUND.
    Jim Brown becomes the very first IKF title holder. Brown later retired for a career as a bodyguard with a 3-1 record with 3 KO's. His only defeat came from a last round knockout by Boyd Murphy in Tahoe Nevada. Brown was winning the fight on all 3 cards, then came the Punch out of NOWHERE. Brown was down and OUT. The bout was booked on the undercard of a co-sanctioned bout with PKC and WKA and was live on PPV. It featured Alexio vs Russell, Roufus Vs McDonald and Torres Vs Anget. With these 2 top Amateurs fighting, it should have been a title, but somehow it wasn't.

  6. MAIN EVENT
    FOR THE VACANT IKF FCR UNITED STATES LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
    ANDY SANCHEZ
    (174, Fairfield, CA,) defeated a highly favored NATHAN PATTERSON (178, Auburn, CA) by TKO at 1:25 of round 3.

October 16th, 1992 - Honololu Hawaii, USA

Ramona "EAGLE" Gatto of San Jose, CA, USA (25-1, Al Lagardo) won the IKF Woman's Pro International Rules World Featherweight Title to become the first IKF Woman's Champion, the first IKF PRO Champion and the first IKF World Champion when she KO'ed Debbie Page of Albq, New Mexico, USA. The bout was Honololu Hawaii, USA on October 16th, 1992.

  1. Darren Cromwell (163, Farfield, CA, 1-0) defeated Tony Gunn (170, Concord, CA, 0-2) By TKO.

  2. Cindy Ellis (136, Colfax, CA, 1-0) defeated Malissa Prien (134, Fairfield, CA, 0-1) By Unanimous Decision.

  3. Jones Tom (143, Vallejo, CA, 1-3) defeated David Valasquez (146, Sacramento, CA, 0-1) By Unanimous Decision, 30-27, 30-27, 30-26.

  4. Mark Bernier (168, Sacramento, CA, 3-0) defeated Ethan Nutter (166, Sacramento, CA, 1-2) By Unanimous Decision, 39-37, 39-38 & 40-39.

    For The Vacant IKF FCR United States Light Welterweight Title

    John Parker
    (140, Fairfield, CA, 2-0) defeated Eric Haddock (140, Newark, CA, 3-1) By Unanimous Decision.

    Mike Doran
    (175, Fairfield, CA, 3-0) defeated Ken Morgan (178, Long Beach, CA, 3-2) by TKO at 1:56 Of Round 4.

  7. MAIN EVENT
    For The Vacant IKF FCR United States Light Middleweight Title

    Randy Bussart
    (154, Fairfield, CA, 5-1) defeated Noe Apilado (155, Concord, CA, 4-2) by TKO at :48 Of Round 2.
