Does anyone know who is fighting in the event coming up in June? Are any of Mr. Thompsons fighters such as the Wonderman (he is not a boy) fighting in this event?
I cannot wait to go see the SE regionals which will hosted in Augusta on the 3rd. Good job, Rob. Does anyone know if there will be any Pro fights during the event or will it just be the tourament fighters?

The WCL is June 24 at the Mohegan Sun. It is an east coast event so yes Ray's Philidelphia team will be fighting against the Miami Team. Plans are to alternate east coast event, west coast event until we have the best team in each conference. The two best teams then fight for the Crystal Glove Trophy. Kinda like the NFL with the NFC and AFC and then the Super Bowl.

The teams are set now for the rest of the season.
PHILDELPHI FIRE vs. MIAMI FORCE
Chris Algeri vs. Tim Lane
Jason Tankson vs. Eric Costanos
Peyton Russell vs. Crafton Wallace
Stephen Thompson vs. Antoine McRae
Dan Erickson vs. Kelly Leo
Angie Woolum vs. Kornelija numic
Jason Tankson is getting married that weekend so an alternate with fight in his place. Their might be some other small variations in the line up.

By the way Ronnie, Larry,
I have been confirmed as the 164 lb fighter for the Philadelphia team, replacing Jason Tankson. I am also trying to get John Greubel in as the 145 lb fighter for Philadelphia, we are still waiting to find out if that will happen. What a team- Big Dan, Wonderboy, Peyton, me, possibly John(I do not know the Algeri kid)...all current and former IKF Champions. If I were a betting man, I'd be betting on Philly. ;) I am going to train with Wonderboy and Peyton under Coach Ray next weekend, after I get back from the beach. We'll keep you posted, as we can.

Damn!!! What a cast of Allstars of IKF current and former Champions!!!! As an IKF supporter and fan, I am pleased to see how well the IKF fighters are doing and getting a chance to showcase there talents in the WCL. Oh yea, lets not forget the Allstar coach of Mr. Thompson. Always got to give credit to the coach. I do feel this will be the team to beat in the finals............anybody want to make a prediction that Zack and the Wonderman knock out their challengers. I say there will be a total of 5 knockouts that team Philly delivers.

It is actually Uncasville, Connecticut- The Mohegan Sun Casino, biggest casino in the world I heard. John Greubel is in, but as an alternate this time. I will try to get a fight again closer to home, after the India trip. I hope to see you at the Regionals.

You are welcome Mr.T!
Are you bringing any fighters to the SE regionals in Augusta? If so, who are they?

SOUTH EAST REGIONAL CANCELLED :(
The timing just wasn't right for the South East Regional this year.
Previous Regional Promoter James Corbett could not get a venue in Valdosta outside the 45 day mark of the 2006 IKF World Classic. The reason for this is to avoid losing fighters that may get KO'ed at the regional that would still want to go to the WC. There is a mandatory 45 day medical suspension on a fighter that is "KO'ed" and a 30 day suspension on fighters that are TKO'ed.
Knowing this, Mr. Corbett turned the promotion over to Mr. Rob Blandenburg of Augusta. Mr. Blandenburg got it late and didn't have enought time to promote it. With only a few fighters registered, Mr. Blandenburg made the decision to cancel the event. ALL fighters who paid a registration fee to Mr. Blandenburg will have your fees refunded 100%.
for fighters from the South East that want a higher seeding at the 2006 IKFWC, they can always go to Jeff Mullen's South Central Regional in Memphis Tennessee on the same date (June 10th) or to will Smith's Central East Regional in North Carolina, also on the same date June of 10th.
However, those in the South East do not have to go to any regional if they do not want to,. They can register for the World Classic as direct walkovers at this page;

We hope this information is helpful and we hope to see you at the 2006 IKF World Classic this July.:)
