What a great fight!! And yes, Duane is a much stronger fighter than Cope, and much more dangerous. I wish you the best, and now that India is off for us, I may fly out to see this K-1, I fought on the first Battle at the Bellagio. You are on a great streak right now, you must be fighting really well, can't wait to see this one. Train hard, train smart, and I hope to see you in about 3 weeks.

Getting closer now, just spoke to Fernando and he is training like a dog for this one. I hope to see him soon in the K-1 Max he deserves a crack at those boys. He is also confirmed to fight Bejan from Holland in September

I just read on Sherdog that it was draw. Cool dominated the 1st round and put Duane on the campus but according to the article rounds 2 and 3 belonged to Duane. It also stated that Duane grapped the micophone and asked to fight a 4th round but the commission would not allow it......
I think the fight was scored, 1st round 10 to 8 Cool and the next 2 rounds were 10 to 9, Duane. For an overall score of 28 to 28.

Who would like to see a World Title match between these two? I WOULD!!!!!

Would just like to apologize to all that support me for the draw against Ludwig.
When the fight began and we exchanged a few times,I said to myself,easy fight.I knocked Duane down with a right hand and thought he was done.Sometime from when he got up and the end of round one he caught me with a knee on my right side ribs and felt excruciating pain.My family, friends and students were there and I was very aware of the fight being on pay-per-view.Along with my belief to rather die than quit were the only things that kept me up.From round 2 on even when he pulled me to shoot in a knee my right side was in severe pain.I did all I could to mask it and was going for a counter ko because I was not able to fight normal.
Duane did what a champion is suppose to due,he got up fought back and he ended up doing some damage and for that I have so much respect for that young man.We will re-match and I believe I will come out on top.But,for now,Duane is the man.Sorry guys,I hope it will be better next time FERNANDO

Mr.Cool: Nice words and it shows you are a class act. I have never met you but Zack tells me you are a warrior and class act. From a fans perspective, the statement you made shows that you are a class act. It takes some guts to make the statements you made. It also signs of respect to another fighter. However, I do believe that if given another shot you could beat him. It sounds like it was an all out war. Perhaps a World Title shot should happen. Your title against his?
Just a side note, all you warriors out there have got me motivated about the martial arts and I have taken my 43 y.o. ASS to Mark G's school here in Augusta and been training with him privately. Still have a long way to go but I am having fun and I have learned that PAIN IS MY FRIEND :p .

The guy you are talking about is Jonathan Goulet , afighter out of the Quebec area fighting for TKO MMA.
