I have been asked to see how many fighters would be interested in a East vs West Pro-Am./ event to be held sometime this upcoming spring. This does not mean that I would be the promoter, but I may be involved in some sort of way. This has not been sanctioned and of course it will be negotiated with the IKF in good time. If you are interested Pro or Am. please contact me at kickingboxing@aol.com. Thanks

I will be in touch with you guys when the time is right. Thanks for input and get your fighters together. I would need much help on the West Coast putting fighters together. On the East Coast I have plenty who would want to make the trip. Some names from the East would be Mike Decker, Steve Mann, Mike Holcomb, Amanda Shiner, Charles Baines, Tommy Poey, and many others whom have already contacted me. More info to come, keep in touch,.

I will keep all in touch, P.J. you could help with the West Coast Team. You and Mike could really help me out. It would be a huge event and good turnout. I have just received some good commitments from some pretty good fighters from the East.

You can count me in to represent the East pro division at 165 lbs...if that slot's open. I'm sure Zach Day would represent at 159 lbs. John Greubel and Justin Pickett might be some good amatuer reps too.
Let me know.

I thought Smith promised us he wouldn't promote anymore? What's it been, a month?
I guess retirement is overrated. Life must feel empty without sanctioning bodies to argue with. Don't worry, Craig. Soon you'll have a wife and all your prayers will have been answered. ;)
Best of luck in all future endeavors.

Are you saying once he is married, he wont have time to argue with anyone else or just that he wont need to argue with anyone else? :p

Randy, when I said my future was with my new family first and promoting second, I also said that I would still be a part of promoting but not as the main promoter./ The go to guy, I am though taking a backseat approach and helping others promote their events. This event will not be mine, it will be Deans and Clark's, I am juts helping. I guess you Yankees have much to celebrate now that you have congress. Lets see how well you guys can run this country. Eye's are on you. You have two years. HaHa.

Stevie, You are in, please email me at kickingboxing@aol.com. I have a slot for you. The card is looking GREAT. Have John and Mark get in touch with me about their help as well. After they mourn their loss.

Mr. Smith,
Don't look for any improvements in the next two years. The sneaky, dirty, incompetent knucklehead you elected as ruler of the free world (twice) won't let anything good happen, I'm sure. The best we can hope for is to limit further decline.
Is your East-West fight card gonna have any senior's fights? Sign me up.

REASON FOR THREAD MOVE
This Thread was moved here by myself and NOT at the demand or request of the IKF. I have moved it to avoid all the e-mail questions i have been rec. about it and where it was posted. So, to stop the e-mails, i have made my own desision to just move it to the "Non IKF Events" thread.
The main reasons i have been getting that lead to this move are;
1: There has been no confrimation that it will be an IKF Sanctioned Event.
2: No one has contacted the IKF in regards to sanctioning this event.
3: Mr. Smith's last event was not an IKF Sanctioned event which means the IKF does not know if this event would be IKF Sanctioned without him contacting them.
4: It's one thing using this board for a non IKF event to tell everyone about an event. (WCL for example). We admire this. Or to highlight certain fighters on an event (Wonderboy, etc.) But this thread is being used as an advertisment to test the waters to attain "Fighters" for an event, that may also have to pay to participate on the event. This is not allowed.
5: Neither of the promoters Mr. Smith has mentioned are IKF Promoters. In fact, one has his own sanctioning body. Curtis, you know which one.
6: There was a lot of hype about the last event Mr. Smith did that caused a lot of drama and dis-satisfaction from attending fighters/trainers at that evcent.
7: The drama that played through e-mails and other places caused many not to attend the IKF Tournament. Many that told the IKF this AFTER both tournaments were over. I will not allow the drama to play out on this board and it's pretty clear what this thread is being used for.
I hope this move does not offend anyone because it was not intended to. I do not intend to offend Mr. Smith either. I want the board to be used in a constructive way for the IKF of course, but also a discussion for kickboxing. If anyone here feels my actions have went against this, I apologize. I am just seeing the thread for what it really is and it is not something this board wants to support if not IKF Sanctioned. I'm sure you all understand.
If Mr. smith's event becomes IKF Sanctioned, we of course welcome his actions on this board like any IKF Promoter.
Note that I at least kept the thread alive and on the board and will continue to do so unless there are complaints of my actions that create more drama thinking i had a different motive for my actions. I have made it clear why I took my actions above. If this happens, I will just take it off the board and move on.
Thank You

This event will be in San Diego, the IKF has moved this post do to the facts that it is NOT IKF Sanctioned YET. Nobody has been contacted as of yet on a sanctioning,. I respect the move but wish all would trust that the best decision will be made on who will be sanctioning this event.

Thanks Craig,
Just to point out, no one at the IKF asked me to move this thread, I did so for the very reasons I said in my post, and to avoid any more questions about it.
Before you choose a location like San Diego, you may want to call Steve and ask him about events in CA. The comm. fees may kill ya  and you will realize how good you have it ANYWHERE but CA.
Have a good weekend

Admin, I have been asked to do it in San Diego do to the sponsors from Cali. they are the money men and they want it there. They know the cost and if they are to foot the bill I am good for that. I have been asked by two other sanctioning bodies to have them a part of it. So far i have not even thought about a sanction, other than the PKA will probably be a part of this event, per Joe Corley. I will talk with Steve as soon as it is time. Thanks Also Mike I need your help rounding up good fighters from the West.
