Randy, I really do not like talking smack cause it does not do much (but does draw attention) 1st just wanted to say I decided not to take the bet on Mark Enix winning because I found out from talking to his trainer he had not trained in nearly 2 years, but congratulation on your boxing win. Zach and Anthony are good fighters. I have respect for every fighter. Just seems like alot of smack talking. You have done things and i am excited to make our fight happen and I hope it is a tough fight. we are near the same area and I hope we can make it a BIG fight! the promoter was trying to get it all together and did push the show back a bit and I guess you have eye surgery scheduled so hopefully we can get it together right after by the end of the year or the beginning of next.
Wanted to say thank you to Jeff Perry for taking a last minute fight against me recently and not counting on fights till they happen but watch for me to fight possibly back in Atlanta and for Sven Bean's show in December against a very tough opponent and a possible title fight against Randy Pogue. Good luck to Zach and Anthony hope you guys make it a good fight. take care Ryan "The Lion" Madigan

Ryan,
Is Mark Enix the fighter RP beat in his boxing match? If so..nice passive aggressive comment...you beat a guy who hasn't trained in two years..if not I am sorry for getting that impression from your email.
I think some smack talk is good. Especially if the fighters don't like each other and like to talk smack.
Plus you have to admit the banter between the two is priceless.
KB is a gentlemans sport, but let's not kid ourselves that it isn't a sanctioned method to hurt someone, this is the real first day of them going at it....I say let them talk about each other's mothers...and let's have a 12 round WAR next year.
Good luck in your fights!

Listen, Geek. It’s APB, not APS. Get it right. A WORLD CHAMPIONhttp://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif like APB deserves you getting his name right. Don’t be disrespecting the POWERHOUSE, or you will be next on his list.
As far as being his b-word, it’s not that bad. There isn’t much in the way of daily duties, and when he does come knocking for me, he doesn’t last very long. He’s rather small, and sometimes I don’t even notice he’s there. (Editor’s note: if you don’t get it, you don’t get it, so it doesn’t need to be deleted…get it?)http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/wink.gif
The “ducking” began about a year ago. I really didn’t know anything about the IKF until Jenna heard about the National Tournament. We went to Iowa, and that led to the message board. At some point, THE CHAMP came on the message board calling everyone out. Me, Stewart, Marinoble, just about everyone he could think of. He had nothing that I wanted, though, since I definitely wasn’t making it down to his weight class for his title. The only person offering to put on the fight was his trainer, in Arizona.
I accepted the fight on his trainer’s show, but then HE BACKED OUT, or the show got cancelled, or they decided they had better get tapes of me before agreeing to fight, or whatever. The bottom line is, they made calls, got tapes of me, and BACKED OUT. I got bent about it, so I agreed to fight him in the future, but not on his trainer’s show. He cried like a baby, stomped his feet, and cursed all over the message board, but that’s pretty much where I stopped seriously considering the fight.
He brings nothing to the table. He is a big puncher who is untested. It would have been a dumb fight for me to take. I had nothing to gain by beating him, but he had a puncher’s chance of beating me. If he beat me, it would legitimize his status. If I beat him, it would mean nothing. I agreed to fight because I like to fight, but after they got cute, I decided they should go play games with someone else.
Speaking of dumb fights, he is about to take a very dumb fight against Zack Day. Zack is in a pressure-free fight. He is SUPPOSED to be beaten by a WORLD CHAMPIONhttp://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif , especially one as “powerful” as APB. If he wins, it launches him into the middleweight stratosphere. If not, it’s just another fight, and he moves on. APB, on the other hand, HAS TO WIN this fight. All eyes are on him, the little bird leaving the nest of AZ. Unless he wins convincingly, the guffaws will echo on this board for months.
When you move up in weight, or start traveling to fight, you normally take an easy fight, to get your feet wet. Maybe APB will realize that AFTER Zack beats him, because this will be no easy fight for APB. The best part is, I WILL BE IN SIMPSONVILLE TO WATCH APB FALL.
I wish I could challenge him to beat Zack and shut me up, but I can’t. You see, it doesn’t shut me up or prove me wrong when you beat someone YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BEAT. The only choices are either he wins a fight he was supposed to win, or he’s a WORLD-CLASS LOSER. Nov. 6 will tell the tale, and I’ll be there to see it.
As to Mr. T’s offer, it’s possible, but I doubt it. My last kickboxing match was at heavyweight. I still need to figure out how low I want to go anymore. Yes, I was going to suck down to 172 to fight Brian Schwartz, but I don’t know how much longer I’ll be willing and able to do that. APB should come up in weight. Maybe we should start planning to fight in May for the vacant IKF Light-Heavyweight World Title. I’ll fight him on Ray’s show, IF HE WINS ON NOV 6, or I’ll fight anyone else in that division. I have to admit, while I’m game for going anywhere to fight, I’m pretty sick of fighting on the hometown guy’s show. I doubt I’m going to be doing much more of that, so setting something up with APB on Ray’s show is perfect.
By, the way, APB, that was a very impressive response. Your spelling, grammar, and choice of language are exemplary, and I’m sure that the IKF is as proud as ever to you representing them as a WORLD CHAMPION.
Bring it on, stud! Try giving it to me good, this time. Your recent performances have been, shall we say, flaccid.http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/redface.gif

Ever since the new board started, people have been crying on here that there isn't any smack-talking or excitement. So I step up with some timely and (in my opinion), generally amusing stuff and no one is jumping on it. What's the deal? Where's the love? Where's the hate? A little sarcasm, maybe. Where's Donnie "the italian hitman" Striker when I need him?

RP,
I enjoyed your response, however, my only question that remains is....
Are there two C's in Flaccid?
Speaking of your missive,
"World Class Loser" happens to be the debut release of a kick A$$ band from Minneapolis called Hi-Test. You can pick up the CD at Amazon.com.
WCL is a power pop treat, but the second release, hopefully out Jan 05 is a bit darker yet kicks much butt.
I know the bass player.
I mean, I am the bass player.

Yeah, I saw it. I'm sure that Cory would say that it didn't make sense to put me back until after the fight, because where would you put me? You can't really rank me below Brian, as I was the champ and he didn't beat me. My guess is that after the fight, I'll be ranked #1. But then again, maybe not. Anyway, it burned mehttp://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/mad.gif a little when I first saw it, but I'm trying hard to be the shepherd.
In other news; yes, Geek, I believe there are two c's. Does your dictionary say something else? I'm anxious to hear Hi-Test's latest offering. How long before I can download it off of Kazaa? I don't have money for cd's, pal. Also, yes, Mark Enix WAS the guy I boxed in Ohio, and yes, after predicting a victory for Mark, Ryan Madigan was backpedaling and minimizing my win. I think maybe he's trying to talk smack without talking smack.http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/wink.gif Anyway, he's on my list now, so maybe we can set something up for the spring, assuming surgery goes well and I'm not a rotund 225 after the holidays.
What part of the world do you hail from, Geek? Are you going to be at Ray's Entrapment to see Day expose Bartinelli as a WORLD CLASS LOSER? Maybe your band could bring APB into the ring. I'm actually still thinking of going, in spite of the fact that Ray is filling the place with those god-awful, redneck, nazi Republicans.http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/frown.gif It should be a GREAT show! I wish there was more fun stuff going on in kickboxing to talk smack about besides APB, because it's boring me. Somebody start a good topic, please, unless you all are content with my APB ramblings. I aim to please, y'know.

Randy, good to hear I am on your list! stay on that diet over the holidays! I cannot make it much over 175! And once again no I do not like talking smack but lets put some butts in the seats for our fight we are in the same area so lets put together a Big fight! Promoters? Randy has his eye surgery first I guess so after that?
Meanwhile I am hoping to fight back in Atlanta soon and On Sven Bean's Card I may have a BIG fight with the king of Pancrase Nathan Marquadt possibly but cannot count on any fights till I am in the ring across from the guy. Thanks everyone! Ryan "The Lion" Madigan

Randy, I am counting on you being there for my show AND I am sitting you right in the middle of all those "god-awful, redneck, nazi Republicans". They are looking forward to enjoying your company!! I'm sure you've heard stories about us southern boys and how we enjoy each others company as well as our own family members, well it will be a treat for some "FRESH" yankee, bleeding heart liberal meat. Yall come!

RP,
I am from St. Paul. Where in PA are you from?
Eagles Suck!
I would love to make it, but can't. I will be at the May event for sure. I have heard Mr. T's events RULE.
If you fight I can heckle you, "hey Stevie Wonder kick", or "Not bad for an EX champ", or "Wow... you are RPB's Bit*%", or "Good thing you are a Professor".
I think you should go to Entrapment for sure, wear a KERRY/EDWARDS shirt and hat that says, I HATE NASCAR, actually if you do this I may rack up my credit card and fly down just to film your exchanges and fights with the crowd...."yes yes I know Lee surrendured and you didn't." :D

I'm about 30 min. outside of Philly. The Eagles may suck at 6-0, but the best the Vikes will be this year is "and 1," thanks to us.
Hopefully, the Stevie Wonder thing will be done soon, along with the ex-champ thing, and if I was really a professor, I could probably buy your cd. So I guess that leaves you heckling me about my position as a submissive to APB. Unless, of course, I become more laughable than normal before my next bout. Stay tuned.
P.S. Q: Why doesn't Iowa have a professional football team?
A: Because Minnesota would want one too.

How long can you not get hit in the head after the eye surgery?
Q: What do you call 47 people watching the Superbowl?
A: The Philadelphia Eagles.

Well, I'm having the eyes done one at a time. I can't really schedule the 2nd surgery until there's a definite thumbs-up on the first. The healing time for PRK can be longer, and side effects can last longer, than with Lasik. I probably won't have the 2nd one until at least the middle of December. So I don't imagine I'll get any real ring time until the end of January at least.
Other than that, I'm just gearing up for the big road trip next week. 10 hours is a LOOOONNNG time. Gotta give the car the once-over, make sure I buy enough snacks for the trip, and remember to pick up my robe and hood at the dry cleaners. I wanna be dressed-up for Entrapment.http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/wwwboard/images/smilies/eek.gif
Q: Why are the Vikings the color purple?
A: Because if you'd been choking for 44 years, you'd be purple too!

This has been a "WORLD CLASS" smack talking thread. It alone has been able to bring hours of laughter and giggles to thousands to be sure. Although Mr. Pogue has referred to 225 lbs as rotund and to the citizens of the Great State of SC as " god awful" Republicans we will still be glad to extend to him a warm welcome and a good time at the AFTER FIGHT PARTY if he isn't too tired from his LOOOOONG drive. Get out the conservative vote and pay no attention to the little boy playing the banjo on the porch.
Seriously it excites me to have champs such as Mr. Pogue attend Mr.T's show and thereby help him promote Kickboxing here in the Upstate of SC and further establish Greenville as the "Mecca of Kickboxing on the East Coast" as Mr. Sky Drysdale once reffered to it.

Do you think you guys could show Randy some good old Southern Country hospitality. I think back out by the old woodshed a couple of hours would convert anyone from being a Northern Liberal to a Nice Humble Northern Conservitive. I know what Randy's response will be' Bring it on, whats so funny".
Randy Pogue
10-29-2004, 07:16 AM
Listen Craig, I've heard about what goes on with you southern boys in them woodsheds. :o I can only imagine it gets worse in Greenville. So why don't you all just come out of the woodshed and stop opposing same-sex marriages. The only REAL difference between conservatives and liberals is that liberals are willing to talk about it. To paraphrase one of my favorite conservatives, y'all come...out.:D
THAT'S what's so funny.
Ray Thompson

Randy, you's a funny man! Oh, liberals don't talk about, they BRAG about it. The difference between conservatives and liberals is conservatives know those things are wrong, liberals don't care if they are wrong. See you friday. Boy do we have a party planned for you!!!!!

Great thread. Randy, I had PRK surgery in one eye. It's a piece of cake. Plan on being on the couch for 24 hours then it's home free. Take my advice, go home imeditally after the surgery to a bottle or two of wine. I only did one eye. That was enough of an improvement that I never really needed the second one done.
