o.k. i have a question?? i see that there are a lot more fighters in the rankings since the last time i checked them out!!! so is there no way that the fighters that are ranked should have to fight to keep there rankings!!! i see that the top guys ranked have been ranked there for a long time!!! are they still fighting?? we know stephen thompson is still active and fighting but what about jason robinson, kevin hudson, and mark russell!!! i know russell is from england but is he active??? will robinson and kevin hudson EVER have to fight stephen or any other ranked fighters to stay ranked??? well i was just wondering because I DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THIS!!! lol  peace mouth of the south

hey mouth, i think russell is a lot bigger now, trying to do k-1 bouts. not fully sure though but if so, ikf should move him up in weight class. i'm pretty sure jason robinson is doing just boxing, at least that is what i heard. he should drop down in the rankings. kevin hudson i wonder about. he spanked lane collyer, but everyone does, but should not fight so heavy. wish he would drop down in weight and make a run at it again. robinson was pretty good. if he comes back to kickboxing him and thompson would be cool.

just looked mouth and i stand corrected, jason WAS doing good in boxing. he has lost his last 3 in a row,
http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=018619
but his opponants were pretty good it appears, 19-0, 25-5, and one of them, james toney, 65-4, no stranger to boxing as far as top fighters go.
i think ikf should just put thompson at number 1, at least we all know he's still fighting in kickboxng and i dont see any of these guys, other than jason robinson, if hes willing to do kickboxing, to give thompson any compitition in this division ;) .

smackmaster how do you think stephen would fair against kevin hudson?? i think stephen woul do good because he is a lot faster!! it probably would never happen but i was just wondering!!! maybe some of the up and coming fighters in the rankings would be willing to fight stephen!! i mean it would help them win or lose right!! if they win they have beaten a fighter that has never lost!!! and if they lose it was a good experience and would help there credibility!! things to think about!! peace!! mouth of the south

first i doubt they would fight. from previous reading, i think they are too close of friends to meet in the ring. i say again, i think kevin should drop down a weightclass. but if you want my opinion, i dont see anyone atching against thompson right now. not even the ikf world champion below them, nevitt. i saw nevitt fight the english guy and didnt see any power from nevitt like thompsons. stephen has youth on them all, but his skill is the winner. this kid is only what, 21? if ray keeps adding new tricks to his ammo belt, he will never be beat. the real question, what kind of fight would it have been if it was kevin hudson in his prime? that would be a fun bout.

you are right smack master they are real good friends but i was just wondering how these guys that are not fighting anymore still be ranked in the rankings?? you are right stephen is 21!! will be 22 in febuary!!! i wish some of these fighters will stop avoiding fighting him!!! maybe one day when it is for a title then someone with some skills and balls will step up but as for now i dont see anyone fighting him!!! im sure Mr.T is searching right now for someone to fight him in may!!! maybe he should try to get a fight with nevitt!!! something else to think about!!! peace!! mouth of the south

i asked about the rankings to ikf awhile back and they enlightened me with the answer. its not that all these guys are no longer fighting, its just that many of them dont bother to ask ikf to update their records, so guys like us just see the same records over and over again. ikf didnt want to penalize those not keeping their records updated, but if i were them, im with you, drop them in the rankings lower and lower if no one in ikf ever hears of them fighting. thankful to us fans ikf has rankings so we can check out. too bad the fighters cant get off their butts and update their own rankings. surly some of its political, 'i dont want to call ikf to update my record because im an iska champion' whatever. i think thats a babies excuse. where else are rankings for these guys to update? i have also found a lot of people making up or just lieing about their rankings, and i discovered this from the ikf rankings. some fighters want you to think they have never lost, but a quick rankings check and we see the truth. if the rankings were not there, we would not be having this talk. although they have some flaws and need some updates here and there, at least we can be glad we have something to refer to. the majority, 90% id say, are accurate though. so kudos to ikf for the plus side of the rankings.
as far as stephens next fight, thats a tough one. i think he would spank nevitt! maybe gary reed, in the division below where nevitt holds his title, would be a good pre title bout for him. as well as many other unheard names in his division, like Kadir Kadri, Bill Hall, Karl Self, Joshua Hancock, Rory Singer, David Lawhorn, and the list goes on, all in the usa so close to book, i think. but i mean, who are these guys? if i were ray, i would just start booking them all and knock them down one by one. . and here again, if not for those rankings, we wouldn't have anything to refer to to talk about here.

stephen beat him last may, it was a pretty good fight and i'd like to see a rematch at some point.

you are right smackmaster!!! once again!! lol but i was just wondering at some point if the 3 guys ranked above stephen would have to fight him or retire if they dont want to fight him!!! or maybe some of the fighters ranked below stephen would even step up and fight him!!! and greenville fan we know he fought kadir in may and it was a pretty good fight but im really not sure if stephen wants to keep fighting the same fighter over and over again!! maybe at some point but stephen needs to be pushed harder than these fighters have been able to push him!! he needs a fight thatis going to last atleast 5 rounds much less more than 1 or 2!!!! maybe these up and coming fighters will want to try and knock him down a notch!!! lol not!!!! but maybe someone will step up for the fights in may!!! ok back to the rankings!! has anyone heard of any of these other fighters that are ranked now?? let us all know!! peace out mouth of the south

does anybody else have the low down or an opinion on this!! i mean if these guys are "professionals" they should have to fight some of these guys in the rankings!!! im not only talking about stephen but any of the other fighters in the rankings!!!! i would like to research this further!! maybe the ikf should have a mandatory time frame that these guys should have to fight in to stay ranked!!! i mean when was the last time the top 3 ranked fighters have fought last?? does anyone know or can they remember back that far?? someone enlighten me please!!! peace out mouth of the south
