View Full Version : RP DISRUPTS BAGGAGE AT PHILLY AIRPORT

I read that Randy Pogue hacked into the computer system at the Philly airport and caused a bunch of problems over the holiday weekend.
Is this true?
Please everyone feel free to elaborate.
Why Randy Why?
In other news, Santa and Baby Jesus hate the Minnesota Vikings (loss on Christmas Eve day) which forces me to root for Philly tonight to send the Vikings to the playoffs.

US AIR is really burning my caboose. I've tried to fly with them, as Philly is a major hub for them, and get some frequent flyer miles, and now they are heading right into the toilet. Maybe I should use them up, and come to Iowa with you guys. I won't have much to offer, as I've trained a total of about 7 or 8 weeks since June. But if this airline is belly-up, I might as well use what I've got.
In other news, the Vikings could not have sucked any worse in losing (again) to the Pack, and lost the ability to play a part in their own destiny, so I'll be rooting for the Rams tonight.

I have a great Rock N Roll story about US Airways, remind me to tell you all in person sometime. Me in First Class (the bumped me because I was flying home from a funeral..I don't have that type of money) flying to make a big show we had...me drinking a lot of champagne...hey I am in first class...me sick etc etc.
I actually hope the Vikings don't make it if they don't win next week. They don't deserve it, so I will be rooting against philly, I changed my mind.
If you come out in Feb, carry your luggage!
I am really out of shape right now, I plan on taking January to get in decent enough shape to let Pete, Randy B, Pam. et. all, beat on me without feeling totally stupid. Just mostly stupid.
I am thinking Feb 4, 5, 6 or
11, 12, 13,
Whatever is best for those guys/gals.
Do they have running water in Iowa or do I just bring my own? :D
geek

Good news Jason - We done got runnin' water installed last year so you come on down and see how it works. I know they ain't anywheres near that advanced up in the woods of MN. The setup I have has this cool handle thingy that when ur done with the big job, you just flip the leever and away goes all the bad stuff. I'm sure you'll like it - no more outhouses fer us by golly..... :D
At least the Vikings made an interesting game out of it. Tough to go against Favre in that situation though. I don't know if I'm pulling for the Rams or not.
I gained 4 pounds over Christmas......... training is gonna suck tonight......
RP come on out - even if you haven't been training we can still drink beer right? I hear that is Jason's strong point anyway........
Jason (fight geek)
12-27-2004, 08:35 AM
Funny,
I have used an outhouse before in the Northwoods of Minnesota. A two holer as a matter of fact. That is weird.
I am not the big beer drinker I make out to be...but I play one on tv.
OK I am.
Randy B how was the weekend?
jason
Randy Pogue
12-27-2004, 08:55 AM
Beer? I thought we were coming out for the women. It better be. That's the only training I've been doing. Y'know, alot of shadow boxing and watching tapes. I thought Pete was having them bussed in, like in The Dirty Dozen.
Lete me know.
And don't go re-routing a short bus, Pete.
Randy B
12-27-2004, 09:10 AM
Shadow boxing and watching tapes - rofl :D
I suppose I could call up both my ex's and see if they are busy. You have a lot of money right? They both like to spend money like crazy....
Hey Pete I'll volunteer to help screen the bus candidates!
Jason the weekend was good. I think I may need therapy after trying to build stuff with my sons erector set though. There's no friggin way an 8 year old could build stuff by himself with that set! I didn't realize I would need a mechanical engineering degree......... :D
Jason (fight geek)

I think their is a school of the blind so as long as RP showers he should be fine. Although does he have an a Philly accent?
I can't hook up a dvd player, so I would be terrible at games like that.
How is the toe, which weekend is better for sparring for Pete and you? Are you fighting for sure?
Jason
Randy B
12-27-2004, 09:55 AM
The toe is doing fine - I went a few rounds with the 6'5" new guy to test it out last Thursday night and then a couple more with Pete. I've found that if I tape it to the toe next to it it doesn't hurt. Either weekend is OK for me so Pete it's up to you. We will see how the training goes - after the 1st of the year - then I will decide.
Randy Pogue
12-27-2004, 10:16 AM
Randy B, you wanna set me up with your exes? You cats in Iowa are crazy, man. I like you, but you're crazy.
Money is no object. What I mean is, I'm in possession of no object which could be confused for money. If a girl has 'money' in her top 10 list of qualities in a man, I'm out of contention. I rely soley on, uh...my secret is my, umm...I guess what girls really dig about me is the, uhhh... some people think I'm funny. That's it! Yeah, I'm funny. At least, I say stuff, and I laugh. That's funny, right?
Besides, it's Iowa. How discriminating can they be? I mean, Pete and Randy B. got married, so the pickin's for the girls MUST be pretty slim. Me and Geek should do fine, right? Especially if Geek doesn't wear all purple the whole weekend.
As far as showering, Iowa doesn't have running water anyway. Besides, I've decided showering takes up too much of my day. Lately, I've just been using Febreeze. I think it's working out well. You goys let me know, after sparring.
I'll see what I can do about the accent. Do Iowa women like the formerly strong, out-of-shape, quiet types? Maybe I can just grunt and nod my approval.
Any other tips are appreciated.
Jason (fight geek)
12-27-2004, 10:29 AM
I think that is how I will get the girls in Iowa...face painted purple when we go out.
Look..I come from a state with a pro team, if that doesn't work, I will go for the rodeo clown line, it has to work.
I don't think the women in Iowa like guys..or anyone for that matter from PA, so maybe if you say you are from Minnesota, or Wisconsin, you have a chance, slim, but the midwest, hardworking, beautiful, practical, scandanavian women don't trust people with ties to well....you know....the mob...so let's just say....no wait, let's say you are with the mob, and are in the witness protection program...DUDE we are going to get a ton of women, We will say the program has lost all your money so they will have to pay for everything. It's your only chance.
Randy B what do you think...I think it will work.
Glad the toe is good!
Jason

ROFLMAO!! I just got in and had a message from Randy B to check out y'all's conversations. Yous guys crack me up, Yo! Hey, BTW, "runnin' water" in IOWA is when you are too flippin' filthy, and the water RUNS away!!
RP, we have alot of hog confinements here, so the women won't mind if ya stink a bit, they may actually feel right at home with ya.... ;)
Jason, also alot of rodeos and bull ridin' here (women riders too), so I would go with the rodeo clown approach....jsut may work :o
Randy B, we have fights in Des Moines the weekend of the 12th, so we could plan for the weekend prior, OR, that weekend and RP and Jason could tag along to the fights with us. OH, HEY....DES Moines, BIG EARL's or the LUMBER YARD....you thinkin' what I'm thinkin' Randy B???? :D
Heck, I don't care either way, let's just plan it and have some fun!
RP, absolutely no short buses here buddy, so you will be good to go!
Pete P
12-27-2004, 11:03 AM
Randy B, my Dad is in town this week. I am thinking pool at the club house or kurps tonight after class. What do ya think?
Jason (fight geek)
12-27-2004, 11:12 AM
I am down with the weekend before. I really would need the extra time to get in shape, but this way you can help get me in shape. :o
So sometime around Feb 4-6 sound good?
I will work on the rodeo clown lines, if I get punched in the face enough that weekend, I will look like it when we go out.
RP, the reason they don't have short buses in Iowa is because it works the other way around there, they have such a high demand the normal kids use the short buses.
for the record I am joking, and I volunteer and help kids out...so please, no thinking we are mean people who joke at everything...wait, I do joke at everything....you know what I mean though.

12-27-2004, 11:19 AM
Hey, I just got to thinkin'...this here training/sparring/drinking weekend we're plannin'....I will be the smallest guy in the group, huh? That means I get hit the most, the hardest, and get drunk the fastest. Hmm....i don't know if that is good or bad. I guess if I get drunk faster, than it will take away teh pain sooner huh? Ok, cont me in :D
Randy B
12-27-2004, 11:43 AM
I don't know Pete, I think maybe they should stick with the witness protection thing - of course you guys need to stick with what works best for you. If you think dressing up like a rodeo clown or Vikings fan (same thing?) is the way to go then by all means you should do it.
If we take them to DSM to the Lumberyard or Big Earls that could be fun, we just might want to warn them that if they were looking for any kind of meaningful dialogue with the girls there they would be out of luck. Oh yeah bring a lot of ones..... :D
Pool sounds fine to me tonight - see ya later man.... Can I bring a date?
Pete P
12-27-2004, 11:55 AM
Ahh, shoot man, we can round up plenty of good looking girls, single too, right here in Carroll, and save the 'ones'. The more 'ones' saved the more to spend on beer ;)
Hey Randy B, yea you can bring a date tonight, but only if he shaves :p
Jason (fight geek)
12-27-2004, 11:59 AM
Pete that is funny,
I am not sure about you getting hit the most though, I will be looking to be up there in that category.
I am looking forward to this train/spar/drink weekend in February...who needs spring break, we can just go to Iowa get our A$$es kicked in and then drink ...it will be almost just like being on spring break. Except it still is winter and we aren't in college, and it won't be warm, otherwise it should be similar.
Jason
Pete P

Pete---- I'm so glad you are thinking of me once in awhile honey. :p
Randy B--hahahahahahahahahahaha Pete has agreed to start sticking to a budget to make our future plans work out, so he had to make a choice on how he spends his $1's..... the pepsi won out! LMAO 'Sides, why would he want to be tuckin' 1's when he has me?!?!?!
Pete told me I was suppose to get on earlier that you all were having a really enlightening conversation............. outhouses, women, getting drunk, and hitting each other..........
An FYI......... The first weekend of February may not work..... we are planning some BIG exciting changes for PSDA, and that weekend just may be a weekend we will need to be closed to follow through on those changes. So, Geek, don't plan on it just yet, we will know more after this week or the next. RP, don't buy your plane ticket either until we let ya know, k?
I can find quite a few Iowa women that would love to meet you two, anyone from out of town will catch attention.......... well, at least for RP. Sorry Geek, we have too many Minnesooooota men around here for it to create a scene. ;) J/K. We have a female student that is originally from your area and unfortunately (fortunately!), she just became single....... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ayyo.
1) On the outside chance that I can make this happen, I've got a couple questions for you crackers.
2) How far is Carroll from the nearest airport? I guess it's Des Moines.
3)Geek, are you driving? Do you go past Des Moines? Where are you staying?
4) Does Carroll even have hotels, or are we planning to get really lucky, really early? Speaking of lucky, does getting lucky in Carroll involve one of the hog confinements Pete spoke of?
5) Y'all keep talkin' bout tuckin' ones. How do those ladies feel about tuckin' change? I've got a big plastic cup I dig into now and again when I want to treat a lady right. I'll just bring the silver, of course. I don't want to be disrespectful.
Thanks for the help.

Pam and Pete,
Just let me know a good time. All of Feb is good with me right now.
RP,
I can swing by Des Moines no problem on the way, or if it is easier to fly into Minneapolis (we have paved runways) , we can enjoy the farm land of Iowa on the drive down, either is fine.
Not sure where I am staying, the seediest (sp?) hotel with a hot tub to soak my soon to be really sore body, plus to bring all the ladies that won't like me because I am from Minnesota. Pam be nice!
Ever tip a cow?

2) How far is Carroll from the nearest airport? I guess it's Des Moines.
From DSM it's about and hour and a half.
3)Geek, are you driving? Do you go past Des Moines? Where are you staying?
DSM would be out of his way unless you want to fly to MPLS like he said. Otherwise one of us could pick you up in DSM and take you to Carroll - unless you want to rent a car to haul around all those women.
4) Does Carroll even have hotels, or are we planning to get really lucky, really early? Speaking of lucky, does getting lucky in Carroll involve one of the hog confinements Pete spoke of?
To save you even more money, you could just stay at Deana's house. I'm sure her hubby would be happy to sleep on the couch while you are there! Otherwise yes Carroll has a few hotels to pick from - with jacuzzi's even!
5) Y'all keep talkin' bout tuckin' ones. How do those ladies feel about tuckin' change? I've got a big plastic cup I dig into now and again when I want to treat a lady right. I'll just bring the silver, of course. I don't want to be disrespectful.
It just so happens that Carroll also has it's own establishment where the ladies accept tips one dollar at a time. I usually run when I see one of them coming but hey you guys might like them. I find that they are usually lacking when I bring up the topic of nuclear fission or the theory of relativity. RP I don't think they will accept anything less than quarters so just keep a roll in your pocket. They will be impressed.
Cow tipping is part of Pete's training regimen. You'll find out about that when you get here.
Randy Pogue
12-28-2004, 07:31 AM
Alright. That gives me a little something to go on. When you cats figure out a good weekend, let me know. Hopefully, USAIR is still operating then. I'll start saving my quarters, and maybe get myself a new bottle of Febreeze.
Yeah, I've tipped cows. I figure, if I've got the quarters in my pocket anyway, why not?
I'm not sure if I can handle being around Deana if her hubby is around. I've seen pictures of her little girl on Pete's site, and if Deana's the source, she MUST be a cutie.
I'm down wit dat trip, yo.
Holla back.

There you guys go talkin bout me again.....rude rude rude lol
Yeah RP..you can fly into DSM and we be like Enterprise in that...we'll pick you up!....can anyone say ROAD TRIP????? hehe
The hot tub is always open!
Beware of that kid RP...she's got some serious TUDE...don't she Pete? lol
Oh...and I've never tipped a cow. I did give one advice though. It turns out they don't listen so good. He still went into that chute....

12-28-2004, 07:58 AM
Sweet,
A Kickboxing/cow tipping/partying long weekend is just the vacation I need!
We need t-shirts for this event. I will work on it.
I am good with any weekend in Feb, if the the first and second don't work, the weekend of the 18th or 25th are fine. The only thing is you guys have your event March 5th right? So the 25th might be a hectic weekend for you...
Pete P
12-28-2004, 08:03 AM
Alright, my gut is busting from the laughs now! If the weekend turns out to be anything like y'alls posts, it's gonna be a riot! Pam is right, we need to get a couple things decided later in the week. We will know more by next week for sure. We will let you know ASAP. Some big changes are coming for PSDA (really good changes), so we gotta make sure it is done by play time.
As far as hotels, RP, the hog confinements have heated stalls now, so you should be ok ;) NO, seriously, we have about 3 hotels, the school, and our house. So you guys have a few choices of where to crash. I don't think we'll be doin' too much sleepin' that weekend though. And Yea, if ya get really lucky, really early, I am pretty sure most of the ladies in Iowa have homes of their own now (if ya get really lucky, you'll catch one that even has the indoor plumbing).
Airports....I think Omaha is cheaper than Des Moines, and it is the same distance from Carroll. We use it alot more. It may be smarter and cheaper to fly in the Geek's place and ride down with him (worth checkin' into). He is about 3 hours away driving. Geek, no point in you going past the Carroll exit another hour to get the to the Des Moines Airport(clear on the south side of DSM). If RP fly's in the there or Omaha, I will go pick him up.
I can't compete with y'alls humor, so I will try to read up on some joke books ahead of time :D
Lata!
Pete P
12-28-2004, 08:10 AM
Deana,
You ever read the comic 'The Far Side'? I think your sense of humor is out there sometimes...lol. Or maybe it just slips right over my head ;)
Hey, I didn't think about the HOt TUB!!! RP, Geek, the hot tub at Deaners is on the back porch. Nothin' beats a HOT hot tub, in the middle of winter, with some cold drinks! Well, some things do ;) but it is still pretty good!
Geek, the hot tub is great to soak those upcoming bruises, buddy :D J/K
Yea, March 5 is the event so I don't think the 25th weekend will be a good idea. If all plans go accordingly, we won't have to close that first weekend and it will still work, but again, we will know more by next week. We will make this weekend happen. It is shaping up to be to good of a time to let it slip away!
deanadimples
12-28-2004, 08:27 AM
Actually Pete...the Far Side is my FAVORITE cartoon! I went into severe depression when they stopped making it..but then the beer got me over it 5 mins later lol
Yes...the hot tub is a fine thing to have. It's an 8 man tub...but I'm thinking of suing the company...cuz it didn't come with no 8 men...some people will say anything just to make a sale.... :D
Pammypanda1
12-28-2004, 08:29 AM
Pete, it is a Patio, not a "porch". A porch is what you sit out on in your folding chair and drink beer not soak in a hot tub under the stars! LOL!! We can pull an "all nighter" and set a new record! :D
Pete, the reason some of Deana's jokes go over your head is cause of the gloss on your scalp, they have no traction to stop! :p I got the joke! (One blonde to another! LOL) Deana, that cow musta been male to not take your advice!
RP and Geek, we have at least 6 hotels, not 3, and a couple of them have hot tub suites plus hot tubs and pools for all guests, we are not totally boondocks. You could also camp out at the school or stay with us (you'd have to share a bathroom with Pete though, so you're taking your chances!!) HOWEVER, you cannot bring your "dates" to our home, so if that is something you're thinking about, you will need to stay at PSDA or "get a room".
RP, we are "inner city" :D so no hog confinements within 2 miles at least. LOL. Omaha or Des Moines are good airports, I think Des Moines has finally come down in their prices a little, now that they have their expansion paid off. LOL. Either one and we can pick you up. I'll even be the "DD" (Randy B, we're not talking about bra size right now! LMAO  ) if you guys wanna make a road trip out of the ride back.
It sounds like a fun filled weekend! Geek, why don't you make those sweatshirts instead of t-shirts, it's still winter, ya know. ;) Don't worry, we still have a few ladies in town that would be impressed with a minnesooootian. :D

Wow. The way y'all are talking about hotels, and hot tubs, and strippers, and hookups, it sounds like I'm spending a weekend in South Beach, not Carroll. I wonder if I'll know the difference.
Geek, where is Minneapolis in relation to you? If it isn't far out of your way, and if the offer is still open, riding with you might make the most sense. Rather than Pam/Pete spending 6 hrs. in a car/short bus getting my butt back and forth from an airport, we can make it a road trip from Minnesoooota. Just promise we don't have to spend the ENTIRE trip listening to Hi-Test. We can get wild and crazy in the badlands of Iowa. It'll be like "Fear and Loathing in the Midwest." Find us a good 'shroom hook-up and we'll be set.
If you have a fight for Jenna on either Feb. 12 or March 5, I can drag her along. But then again, she wouldn't be able to party, so maybe that wouldn't be a good idea. I'll ask her if she wants to sit in the hotel room and live vicariously through our stories.:)
Jason (fight geek)

I am in St. Paul, about 5 minutes from Minneapolis airport, so no problem picking you up for a road trip.
I am not sure how beer bongs work in a moving vehicle, we can try, you know I did intend on trying to get in shape a little bit for this trip to work on sparring, my hand skills, cardio etc, but maybe I should be doing stuff like vodka shots every night.
I am picturing us in Iowa in a Raiders of the Lost Ark type scene doing shots until someone can't, or dies or something.
Thanks for all the offers for places to stay that is great! I will probably just get a hotel for at least a couple nights as to not impose too much.
But speaking of imposing...who else can we get to come to town for the chaos?
What is Dean Lessei doing? Maybe he can come down/up/across?
Who else can we recruit to invade Iowa? Anyone?

Geek,
Maybe we can split a room, and get some big-pimpin' suite. It'll be a perfect set up for Girls Gone Wild, Iowa Style. Hopefully it doesn't turn into Girls Gone Hog Wild or Hogs Gone Wild.
As far as funnels in the car, do you have a sunroof? We'll be all set if you do.
Maybe instead of shots, we can have a night of Irish Carbombs. I wonder if they ship Guinness to Iowa.
Careful with all of this inviting stuff. Haven't we done enough complaining about being out of shape? I think I've hit a heavy bag twice since the summer, and the last time I sparred was early October. I guess I'd better start working on running away. My goal will be to stand right in front of Geek, and not let him touch me.
Speaking of who you are inviting, do all of you freaks do leg kicks/muay thai? Maybe I need to road trip somewhere more FCR-friendly. That South Beach idea is sounding better all the time...maybe Palm Beach instead. I hear it's nice down there in March.

12-28-2004, 11:59 AM
RP, Yea we mostly do IR/MT, but back (way back) when I fought, all of my fights were FCR, so I will bang with ya fcr only if you prefer. Geek, what do you usually do?
I still think I am gonna come out of the deal with the most bruises, I think I am 157 soakin' wet. Can I spar with my runnin' shoes on so I can scat if need be? Just wonderin'....or hopin'...
Randy Pogue
12-28-2004, 12:06 PM
C'mon, baby. Don't take it like that. After all of the talk about hog confinements, and tippin' cows, and stuff like that, I was just making sure we avoid any worst-case scenarios...dig?
Are you suggesting that the sweeter my tone is, the more "pleasant" my stay will be, my little tulip? Listen, buttercup, is this just with you, or does it apply to all of the Iowa ladies?

I only have done FCR, but am willing to get crazy and go a couple rounds with kicks to the legs. What are you going to do..kick me in the legs?
Yes, I should be 178 and am 188-190 now, so I need to hit the road as well.
This is going to be fun, potentially painful, and humiliating all at once.
RP,
Let me start the festivities by saying if you get off the plane with a wife beater and a championship belt either around your waiste or d****d over your shoulder and walk one end of the baggage claim to the other and then wear it at every gas stop on the way to IOWA, I will give you $100. Of course I will have a video camera, but it would be worth every penny.

No, I'm not kicking anyone in the leg, nor would I like to be kicked in the leg. Hit the road? Yeah, I guess I should run as well...maybe tomorrow.
Hey Geek, that was SOME prediction. Is it going to be like your first experience with a girl? Also, with regard to your offer, I definitely need the money, but I'm not sure why you're giving it to me. Is it just for showing up, or do you think February is too cold for my wife-beater?
Deana, don't go getting thinking you're all cool now with your bar tricks. I've got a few of my own that might impress you. Do any of the bars out there serve those fruity drinks that the girls love? Y'know, with the umbrellas and stuff?

Hey Geek and RP, dont worry, Pete still wears his wife beater even in the winter!! He just wears it with his flannel shirt unbuttoned. LOL. :D J/k hon! (Shhhhhhhhh, he really does still wear one though. But it's ok, it shows off his bulgin' muscles. ;) )
RP, it is not a "Motel 6" my gosh, where do you think we are located?!?!?! We have Super 8's!! :D Seriously though, let me know if you guys really are interested in a room and I will reserve it for you and get our discount for guest fighters/instructors. RP, the trip to Des Moines/Omaha is only a little over an hour one way. It's 3 hours to Geek in Minneapolis.
I'm getting the feeling I am going to definitely be "out drinked" during this weekend event! :o Oh well, at least I wont be feeling like total dog crap the next morning! There are things to be said for not going overboard! :p
Hey RP, I'll spar with ya... but I get to kick ya in the leg! It doesn't really hurt that much, I'm a girl so we kick lighter. Just promise me you wont play "stretch the arm out to the forehead" like Randy B does. He thinks it's hilarious to hold us shorter ones back with one hand during timing drills. One of these days I will catch him off guard and clock him. :D OOps, that's right, you don't like girls fighting..... RP, why don't you plan on two weekends!! Come in February so ya'all can have a good time, and then bring Jenna on March 5th for the event! She and I can stay sober together that weekend.
Geek,
Maybe we can split a room, and get some big-pimpin' suite.
March is definitely the time for Palm Beach. A lot of people head down there after the East Coast Classic. Just as an FYI.

Pam, I understand that the overall trip would be shorter for me, but my comfort is not the issue, as I'm the beggar. If you give me a ride, that's 2+ hours out of your way for nothing. If Geek gives me a ride, it's 10 minutes out fo his way, and he doesn't have to make the six hour road trip by himself. That's why it seemed to make more sense that way...dig?
I checked out the Carrollton Inn. That seemed pretty high-fallutin'. Whatever you think is best.
You won't be out-drinked, unless I start training hard now. I really don't drink, and haven't for about 10 years. Maybe once or twice a year, aside from maybe a monthly wine or beer with dinner. But I think I might change my regimen. I'm thinking that regular benders might bring my game to a new level, so I'm gonna start training. I've got it all planned out. A good couple of daily drinks, increasing over time, along with occasional long, drunkfests, and some sprint-work, how many beers I can finish in 10 minutes, stuff like that. I think I'll have more success with being impressive in that arena than in the ring. The message board got me motivated yesterday, so I went to a karate school and jumped in on a point-sparring class for teenagers, just to ease back into the flow. Then I banged my toe off of some kid's elbow, it's all black/blue/swollen, and I'm hobbling around. I think maybe drinking is a better way for me to go.
I'll try to stay in good enough fighting shape so that you and I can get some work, but if you kick me in the leg, I might start dropping elbows, going for the suplex, or bringing foreign objects into the ring, like a chair.
I spoke with Jenna. She said she already made plans to go to Craig's for the East Coast Classic on the 5th of March. Apparently it gets pretty crazy down there afterwards, wild parties, canoodling, waking up in different states, and all kinds of silliness. So, if she's going to fight, that's the place to be.
Deana, I expected more curiosity regarding my tricks. I guess you aren't much for the fancy drinks...in retrospect, that probably works out better. We'll stick with the chuggin' contest instead.
Here's to you...

I wasn't arguing or trying to persuade you, just let you know that we were only an hour, not 3. Misunderstanding. It's all good. :D
Do you want me to send you links to the hotels? The Carrollton is way overrated, IMO. There is the "Burke Inn", which is newer and nice, but no pool, and there is a Super 8, that is newer, has HUGE rooms, hot tub suites, and an indoor pool/hot tub. It's very reasonable. There are two Super 8's, so if you look it up, make sure it's the one on the east side of town and not north by the Carrollton. The "good" Super 8 is right next to Bloomers, where they have "the coldest beer in town" or so they say. LOL. It's a sports bar, good food, etc.

Wow. This trip could turn into a money-maker for me. The problem is, Geek will want to stop every 15 minutes, just so I have to get out of the car.
Yeah, the honeymoon suite would be nice, but I doubt it has 2 queen-sized beds, unless that's what honeymoons are like in Iowa. And we definitely aren't sharing a bed, because the 4 or 5 of us won't fit, even on a king-size.
I tried looking up the Super 8's, but they didn't say anything about fancy stuff, like hot tubs, or escorts, or massages, or rubber sheets, or anything like that. I guess that's why we've got you.;)

Randy B,
I agree having RP in a wife beater, walking up and down the airport with a belt would be AWESOME funny, I am not a rich man, but it would be worth every penny. Plus at the truck stops in Iowa, not to mention it is frickin Feb.
As to the heart shaped jacuzzi, I am comfortable enough with my sexuality (hetro..fyi) that if it was cheaper than the the other rooms and a kick a$$ room, with a fold out couch I would take it. That could be a great line at the bars,...hey honey I got us the Honeymoon suite...I know we just met, but I like you." If there is a rubber band around the door knob, RP that is the signal.

RP, Geek,
What are you guys thinking? Are you planning to be here for a Sat. and Sun or Friday, Saturday, and Sunday? Any thoughts? I think if you are here by noonish on a Friday and stay til later in the day on the Sunday, We could have one hell of a weekend. I guess it depends on RP and U.S. Airways, huh?
RP, as far as Jenna and March 5th, I probably wouldn't have had an opponent for her on that event anyway. Two girls both her size but no where near the experience, and they both do Thai. Could meet in the middle with IR, but again the experience is the factor. I don't think their coaches would go for it. But, the next event we have I will bring someone in for her, provided the dates work out for y'all and you survive Iowa in Feb :D . Our next one will be in late June or July, and then again in the fall. We are planning on 3 times a year.

I checked USAIR. They don't make many seats available for frequent flyers, but the best case scenario gets me in Minnesoooota on Friday at 10am or 2pm, and leaves on Sunday at 6pm. I guess as soon as you figure a plan, I'll start screwing it up by not being able to fly at those times.
It sounds good all the way around. I'm not sure that the honeymoon suite is worth a fold-out bed, but we'll figure it out.
Deana, are there any hotel rooms in Carroll that you don't have first-hand knowledge of?
Geek, I like the rubber band idea. How mad will you be if you come home to a rubber band and, in the morning, I'm in the room by myself? 'Cause that's about all I'm expecting. They say the best predictor of future performance is past performance, in which case I'll be in the room by 11pm, with Chinese food and Ben & Jerry's, watching X-rated movies or snorkeling in the hot tub.

We have two chinese restaurants here and they close by 9, good thing the room has a microwave! LOL.
I will check into the Super 8 (the good one!) tomorrow for you and see what our room rates are again, I have it written down in a file at work, but haven't used our discount for a few months. I know with the discount, they are pretty reasonable. I'll send ya an email with the info, k?
Hey, I'll side with Deana, the honeymoon suite isn't all it's cracked up to be. (Even after the renovation about 4 years ago) I had a very good friend that worked there and she would get me half price rooms, so the kiddies and I would get a room for the weekend to swim in the pool and lounge for a special "treat" since we was those po' ole' country folk living by one of them there hog confinements ya'all are talkin' 'bout. We would jump in the pool with our knickers on to save on washing them in a pay machine. Only time of year we could afford to take baths too. I liked to sneak into the supply closet and grab all the little hotel size shampoos and soaps. They make great stocking stuffers!
RP, anytime the end of January, beginning of February will work best for us. We could always put you to work if we're busy that weekend. ;) J/K. Geek's dates are open, so do you have a weekend that works better then another? End of January doesnt seem to have as much snow, it's too cold to snow! LMAO. :D

I just figured if everyone was gonna party at the hotel room, we should pick someplace different. This we it's like a whole new experience for everyone, and not just the same old heart-shaped tub. Doesn't it sound better when I spin it like that? I'm sure there are plenty of hotel rooms you haven't been in, sweet-cheeks.
Ms. Panda, hug me if I'm wrong, but I thought the beginning of Feb was bad for you. The gym might be closed on the 4th-5th, right? And there are fights the beginning of March, so the 25th of Feb. might not be so good. Are there any other obligations being forgotten, and/or did those dates clear up?
In other news, we could do the 11-13 and celebrate Valentine's Day in Iowa, or if the 4-6 clears up, have Mardi Gras in Carroll.
P.S. Did I mention I'm a wimp, and I hate the cold? That's why I gotta get the hell out of Philly, and move in with Ray Thompson, where the weather and the women are warm and friendly.

Well, I like to think I can party like a rock star, however I am overall a clean living one..... ;) I am actually too poor to have a drug habit. I can't believe when I hear stories of people with like a grand a day drug habit. I think if they give me half, I will take them to the gym and beat the crap out of them every day so they will be too tired to do drugs. Now I just need to find one of those people.
I am open to any weekend, the sooner the more out of shape I will be, just to let you know....but I am open to late January as well. Early Feb gives me an extra week to somehow fake being in shape. I plan on starting tonight...or tomorrow..Saturday for sure.
By the looks of US Airways, RP may be able to also either fly the jet for them or at the very least fill in as a flight attendant as they are begging people to show up to work....seriously, so maybe he can come in on Wed or Thursday and they will pay him to do it.
I will have the Liberace records ready for RP so he can be in the right frame of mind for his Umbrella drinks...and drinking games.
I want to see the bottle trick though.

Pete and I discussed things and those dates should be ok. We will know more yet this morning. If you and Geek would like to join us for some Iowa fights, the weekend of the 11-13 would be perfect. You guys can "play" in the gym on Friday, Saturday morning, and Sunday, and travel to the fights with us (only an hour drive). I'm not sure if we even have anyone fighting, I better ask Pete (in person, of course! LMAO). I'm always the last to know these things... :o And he wonders why I get disorganized, sheesh! :D
It's close enough that if we go, we can still get back to Carroll in time to go out in town and not have to worry about drinkin' & drivin'. Ok...I'll bite. What's the deal with DSM? Although I'm admittedly limited in my sets of skills, I'm curious what Deana and RandyB think my lacking "skills" and "training" are, and whether they think I'll be able to overcome my "sensitivity" issue.
Chances are I'll be at a disadvantage, unless it's on a canvas or a mattress, but I'll give it a go nonetheless.
Getting back to reality, I think it would be best if we picked a weekend where y'all don't feel like you have to juggle everything. The 4-6 is fine, if you don't have to shut down for your changes; I think the 11-13 sounds too busy, with the Iowa fights; the 18-20 is good for me; the 25-27 is also, but you have fights on the 5th, so you might have alot to do. It's great that we can train/party for a weekend, but it would be better if everyone can relax and goof off for a weekend, rather than rush to train or squeeze having fun into a schedule, IMO.
Holla.
Pete P
12-30-2004, 11:14 AM
Personally, I think the 18-20 weekend would work better too. Depending on how soon the new changes take place, we very well may have to be closed (or atleast extremely busy) the first week, including the 4th, 5th, and 6th. The 12th are fights in Des Moines (DSM), and granted it would be great to have RP and Geek there with us, but if we have 3-5 fighters on the card, I will be too busy physically and mentally to have any side fun at all. And like RP said, no point in rushing to and fro, let's kick back, have some fun, and do the thing spontaneously (kinda). The 25-27 weekend is pushing to close to our own fights, again I will be very stressed and busy. So, let's plan for the 18-20 weekend. RP has said it is ok with him, how 'bout the rest of you?? Let's get the agreed weekend set so we, you, all of us can begin planning accordingly. Cool??
Jason (fight geek)

Pete,
The Weekend of the 18th sounds good. Less stress for everyone!
I will be in way better shape on the 18th of Feb than the 28th of January.
Not great shape, but better shape. Maybe I will be able to go 4 rounds in a row instead of 2. :o of course they are 6 minute rounds. :D
RP, whenever you fly in is cool. Is Friday the only day you can fly in? If you can ealrier and need a place to crash, feel free to crash on my couch, otherwise Fri am I can pick you up and off we go to Iowa to begin our liver destruction training...I talk big, I will probably be in bed by 10:30 tomorrow night.

Also, why don't you guys take some time and meditate on whether that weekend really works. I already booked a flight, and I have two days to change my mind. Settle back and swish it around in your head, make sure it works, but I've gotta say 'yay' or 'nay' by Sunday afternoon.
Lemmee know.

OK let me check my appointment calendar again......... yep still open. :D
RP you booked your flight for the 18th or on another weekend?

I hear ya about the job thing. Friday is cool, just wanted to offer in case you had a better deal or wanted to explore the Beautiful Tundra of Minnesota. I expect Philly (is it ok an outsider says this) is as cold as Minneapolis.
Did you book it for the 18th?
As I sit back and ponder my place in the world and technology. It is quite amazing that all this communication is taking place.
I say to myself.."welcome to the 20th century."

Hey Deana,
Don't forget about the "all you can play" Bingo night at the KC!!
oops, I just remembered..................... we do have something to do that weekend!! WE HAVE TO PLAY DARTS!!! :D It's ok, they can watch and be our mascots for the night, can't they Deana?

RP,
Where did the Morningside come from. I know I mentioned I went to college in Iowa did I say M'side? I do babble. If not...you are good.
I think this will be as fun as Morningside, but not as fun as my last year at Kansai Gaidai....Osaka Japan.......ahhh the memories....

Randy: Depending on where darts are that night, that "finer establishment" you are referring to will be right next door....how conveeeeeeeeenient :)

Randy B,
what is it with you and the strong facination of the "finer establishments"??? Geek, trust me, the "ladies" in the one in Carroll is NOT really worth the tips. I'd bring quarters if I were you, they may be worth that much.........

Jason,
You got it buddy. If you are lucky I might even take you to the animal bar....
Pammypanda1

What is the "animal" bar?!!?
Randy Pogue
12-30-2004, 02:53 PM
Geek, google is my friend. It also told me all about those crazy nights at Delta Sig, Mr. Secretary.
Y'all better watch it with these big plans. Remember, I'm very sensitive and very unskilled. Be careful with me, I've been hurt before.

ok, is my mind playing tricks or did I just see a post from Randy B about me "assuming" about the finer establishments? I hit refresh and now it's gone!

Deana, you little petunia (Is that RP's pet name?) LOL, you will always be THE mascot in my book! ;) We don't win when you're not there rooting us on! Randy B can take the guys over to the "finer establishment" while we shoot cause I don't want them to see how bad I suck at darts!! Let's take 'em bowling instead, LMAO! At least then I can save face!
I bet they're getting excited now.... us talking about polkas and bowling.

PAM: Hey...I'm a TULIP..not a petunia! At least until RP actually meets me and learns how hilarious THAT is :D
I don't understand my "good luck" charm status. And nobody's rubbing me for good luck either so don't get your hopes up RP & Geek...I'm not a buddha lol.
RANDY B (Not Mr. Sweet Talker): ooooooohhh I love the critter bar (that's what us locals call it)...course if we are going to hit that we should hit Red's too.....
Ok...someone PLEASE tell me how we are supposed to fit in darts, cowtipping, the critter bar, the "finer establishements, my hot tub, RP & Geek's "heart tub" (ok so maybe we skip that one lol), bowling, sparring, bar tricks, Red's Place, baywatch stories and all the other numerous activities with only 2 nights?????? lol

2 Nights?? We have 24 hours in those 2 days/nights. That equals 48 big fun filled hours. I think that is plenty of time for all that and more. C'mon girl, use them ther 'time management' skills. You got skills??
RP, keep your flight set for the 18th weekend. That will be THE weekend!

Well Deana, you little tulip (what color??), it's like this...........
We discuss the baywatch stories while you and RP show us the bar tricks while at the critter bar and other finer establishments, then we head over to darts, rub you for good luck (wait a minute, that really doesnt sound right, does it! LMAO), then do some cow tipping on our way to the bowling alley, bowl a couple of games of "disco/glow in the dark bowling", then head over to Reds Place, taking Geek and RP "Snipe hunting" along the way, (you guys forgot about THAT one! LMAO) then head back to PSDA where we will see if anyone can even spar or stand up after taking a hit, then head over to your place to soak in the hot tub!! See, we can get it all done in one night!! TIME MANAGEMENT! :D

List of things to do for the weekend of Feb 18th:
1. Sparring
2. Deana's hot tub
3. Critter bar
4. Red's Place
5. Finer establishments, The Clubhouse, and Ruby's not necessarily in that order.
I figure that the bar tricks and the Baywatch girl stories will happen some where during the course of the weekend's events. Somehow RP I doubt that you are all that sensitive and unskilled. If you can survive the mean streets of Philly I'm sure you will survive the animal bar. Maybe not Deana's hot tub but for sure the animal bar. :D
Hey Jason, maybe you could bring a couple copies of the HiTest CD. I would be interested in buying a copy so long as you autographed it for me!

Oh pulllleeeeze....I definitely have skilz in the weekend department!!! I meant we don't want to run them ragged hitting all the places for 5 minutes...its about QUALITY time at the hot spots!
Well Deana, you little tulip (what color??):D
That would be RED...bold and vibrant..just like me! (or my face after class anyways) lol

I think I need to set the record straight about my tricks. The truth is, they really aren't appropriate for the bar. Y'know that bar trick where the guy takes the cherry out of the girl's fruity drink and ties the stem in a knot with his tongue? Well, my version is sort of halfway like that. You see, I just use enough fruity drinks so she's drunk enough to leave with me. Then the "trick" is making her knees twitch and her head explode at the same time. So the set up is the same, but the cherry is rarely involved. It's a real ice breaker. Usually, she'll wind up jumping up and down, clapping her hands, singing "do it again, do it again." But, y'know, ya gotta sort of ration out those kinds of tricks, or people get bored. I'l tell ya, it's tough coming up with new material all the time.

Ok, c'mon, you're not suppose to say it's a "trick", you're suppose to claim it's a "talent". And in all fairness, "IF" you really can make her knees twitch and her head explode, HOW can she jump up and down on those wobbly legs or sing out "do it again, do it again" when she is laying there breathless with no mind? :D
