I'm curious to know if anyone on here has ever fought at the KICK nationals or any of their other tournaments. I'm thinking about doing one of them this year, any thoughts? I don't care if you hate the president of the org I just want to know about the events themselves. :)

BTW, before anyone says anything, I'll probably do the IKF tournament too. It's been my priority since I started fighting so please don't turn this into an IKF vs. KICK thing.

P.J., I have taken my team to their events several times. Went to their Nat'l event two years ago in Vegas. There were many IKF fighters there, Copelands team, Hudsons team, Branch's Team, and many others. Not that big of an event though, at max maybe 50-70 fighters. I have done other events as well, Cheryl Nance's cards, all seemed to be OK, Copeland has fought on their cards many times. As a comparison to an IKF event, they would be at an intermediate level compared to an Advanced level, when comparing to an IKF event. Still no negative stuff to say about the Kick events, they just did not add up to an IKF event.

PJ,
Everytime you get in the ring you will get better. Go get the experience. don't let the letters stop you. The events that I have been to and participated in are ran well. The number of fighters might not be as great as the NAC but the ones that come will come to fight. Thats what is it all about anyway. Fighting?

Thanks guys, Now, more than ever, I'm thinking about doing one of their events b/c in August I'm going to be a daddy...again!!!!! :D

I just really want to do another tournament in early to mid 2005. As long as it's close enough to CO and/or I can get some sponsors.

kick is still in the game? i thought these guys would have thrown in the towell after lieing to everyone about having 400 fighters  going to their vegas event a couple years ago. pj, dont get scammed by these guys. there were only about 40-50 fighters in vegas and they told everyone there was going to be over 400. i see in the ringside catalog these guys are now saying they are doing 3 events this year? wtf? give me a break! why is ikf even allowing their false hype to be discussed on this board again? :( remember last time, lies, lies and more lies. they had some tournament last year they called a north american. about 35 fighters showed up. if we look at their numbers, and each one of these proclaimed big tournaments of theirs this year is a qualifier for the next one, they may have a massive 12 fighters at their world tournament. enough of these guys. ikf, i thought you said no ads for other tournaments in this thread? especially no more lies! pj, careful, do not get scammed! these guys needed to fold up camp long ago!

I appreciate the feedback, both positive and negative. I'm still looking into everything, hopefully I'll hear something definite soon.
