IKF SHOW IN WATERLOO IOWA DATE?

I have heard the date for this show has changed from Nov. 6th to the 20th. The events page still says Nov. 6th. Does anyone at the IKF know if Russ changed the date or not?

Russ told me himself that he changed the date to the 20th of November. It would be nice to get a reply to your question from the IKF, though, to confirm it. Atleast a reply saying they don't know yet, or awaiting confirmation from Russ.

No one has notified us here at the IKF of any date change yet.

We do know, if this event has any INTERNATIONAL rule or MUAYTHAI rule bouts, they will need another referee. Possibly someone like Mike Storm or Kurt Podany depending on availabilty.

We will have a new IKF Representative appointed to the event too.

Thanks for the info. I was told there is a fight sanctioned by the IKF in Davenport, IA on Nov. 20 as well. The promoter was looking for some of my team to compete on the show. I told him we were committed to Russ's show. Is the Davenport show IKF sanctioned????

As of today, September 27th, 2004, the IKF has no info of any Kickboxing show in Davenport Iowa.

To ASSURE an event is IKF Sanctioned, check the IKF Upcoming Events Page:

It must say at the bottom of the event listing "EVENT CONFIRMED"
If it does not say "EVENT CONFIRMED" and ONLY "EVENT CONFIRMED", it is NOT a CONFIRMED IKF Sanctioned event.

Please be aware of other Amateur shows taking place in the midwest by promoters who have worked with the IKF in the past. Some are promoting still but without IKF Sanctioning which also means they do not have doctors, fighter insurance, good officials and some other issues. One show that was brought to our attention was one in Beloit earlier this month. A LOT of people WERE NOT happy at what took place at this event.:mad:

Our suggestion to ALL fighters and trainers, "If a show is not sanctioned by a LEGIT and REAL Sanctioning Body, for your own safety, DO NOT fight on it!

I have talked to Russ O'Connell and he said the event is on the 20th. I see the IKF has updated it on the events page. Thanks IKf. I see Steve and Brooks are the IKF reps for the show. That's great see you there.
