What types do you all use?
I have a pro form from my dentist. I love it, but I sometimes wonder if it is enough. I got kicked in the melon yesterday by Peyton and I was wondering (after I finished bleeding)...maybe I should have a thicker mouthguard. It is sooo comfortable though and I tend to gag on others, so maybe I should just keep my hands up better. Just curious what types you use?
thanks

LOL....yea man, keep those hands up! I use the Shock Doctor from Century, the 3.0 I think. I think it is great! Plus, you get the $10,000.00 dental warranty along with it, and it is supposed to protect against jaw fracture and concussion. Since wearing it I have never had a concussion or even sore jaw, and been hit pretty hard (with punches more than kicks though). It fits great with a breathing channel. Of course, a custom fit one from a dentist is probably the ideal way to go, for me I will stick with the Shock Doctor. I have 5 veneers too, in front on top and my fear after getting them, was having them knocked loose or even out (big bucks to fix..lol), but luckily it has never happened. I have had to stop and check too, lol, a few times, but they were always in tact. So, that is my preference.
Bottom line, regardless of mouth guard.....KEEP DEM HANDS UP :)

Geek:
I think your choice of mouthgard is probably fine. Wipps are supposed to be good for lessening the chance of concussion. However, getting in the ring w/ Peyton certainly increases your chance of concussion :)
Keep your Hands UP!!!
