Mr. Stell, All do respect I don't think the pointfigters, esp. Raymond has anything more to learn that anybody else that improves with experience. Raymond, Felton, Jason, Vickers are great atheletes. Raymond is not up and coming. He is a star in his own right. Just because you don't know these guys doesn't mean they are up and coming. They are stars in their own rights and making a transition, same as the kickboxers, into this format.
They all have World Titles. Felton, Jason, and Raymond have fought all over the the world for years. Donald would have but he's the youngest and just didn't have the opportunity. I really do find it curious that because, as pointfighters, they don't hit hard or take a hit doesn't mean they can't. All of them are legitimate martial arts blackbelts. The basis of their training is combat. I find the the indirect disrespect, in your case I believe and the blatent disrespect by the others on this board give the pointfighters insulting. Especially in light of how dominant they have been. I think as an official, at least publically, all the fighters and the disciplines they come from should be held in equal esteem. it's hard to know how the written word will be read but in all do respect, I humbly would have you entertain the idea that these guys are not up and comers but stars in their own right making the transition that everybody else is having to make. In hope of making a sport that will entertain the public and bring new excitement to sport martial arts. I hope the tone and tenor of this post doesn't come accross in any kind of harsh way. good day mr. 40214. if you could please list your name.
i'm not bashing the up and coming talent. yes i know the difference between point and full contact. if you look in the tournaments back in the 70's and 80's i fought in over 400 tournaments. yes "not tooting my own horn" but i believe i had a great span. i made the transition to full contact "once again had a great span". coming from the point fight tournament and jumping into the ring, i was not a champion right away. there is a transition. i've reffed ray in a full contact match. yes i believe he is a talented fighter. but in the ring you can see he need work. again if you ask my opinion, i would say "yes, ray is a talented fighter who has potential, and is a up and coming fighter". so once again mr. 40214, their is no disrespect for these fighters. i love the sport either way. thank you. take care. bam ![]()

JB is what I go by, Then all these guys are up and comers, since none of these guys have proven themselves to be better fighters. he/they need work in some areas and the kickboxers need improvement in others. Why are Ray and the pointfighters up and comers and the kickboxers are not?

Gentlemen,
I just want to add that is very refreshing to see the two of you have different opinions, but communicate your ideas confidently and with respect. Other post-ers could learn from you.
