Ray, When is the WB making his pro MMA debut? For those of you who don't know already Stephan Thompson is a bad man! I can't wait to see him take the MMA world by storm. His training with GSP for the past couple of years should serve him well in his crossover to MMA.

Mark,
Thanks. We have tentativly scheduled his first mma fight for Oct. 30 in Quebec City, Canada BUT we have no contract yet. So it isn't real til you get a contract and even then the "realness' can go away fast!! So we are training for that date. We havn't abandoned kickboxing but it is going to be hard to do both especially when kickboxing promoters dont want to pay the fighters very much for their efforts. Not the promoters fault, really, just hard for them to get the sponsorship that is NEEDED to pay the fighters. Wish it was different!!

Ray,

All of us fighters and trainers understand that, we wish there was enough money for all types of fighting too. Wonderboy is such a phenomenal athlete that he will do great in whatever he decides to do, he is one man that was truly built to fight.
By the way, I noticed something the last time you guys came down to spar. Stephen has grown as a fighter. He now knows why he does what he does in the ring, what the other person is trying, and how to set that up to his advantage. He knows this instantly, while it is happening, instead of having to wait to hear from his corner. This is awesome to watch, but truly scary for his future opponents. He is coming into his "own" as a fighter.

Best of luck to you guys on everything, and if you need me for any sparring in the future, please call.

Zack.
Thnx for the kind words!! Sorry to hear about your fight!! The WB is pretty sharp when it comes to finding a solution on how to best an opponent but this isn't a new talent for him. Remember he has had more than 50 fights and has remained undefeated. He has been developing his own game plan for a long time!! Thnx too for offering to spar with him. We will take you up on it.

Way to go guys!!!
Zack you actually kicked a guy in his butt while he was running away??????
And disrespecting John was a huge mistake. So will John be fighting Shannon in Sept? And where will it be? That should be a good one. Cannot forgot Key and Stafford. Two of the best Am's around.

Great job Mark on coaching these guys!! You the man!!

Larry

Shannon had somethings come up that are not going to allow him to fight, so I don't think it will take place.

No disrespect to Hudson but John's speed, skill and timing is sooooo far superior to Shannon Hudson's that that fight would not be a good one, at least for Hudson!! John's power has taken a REAL boost also. Wouldn't mind seeing that fight though!!

Gents: With that being said Ray, who should John fight next? Who would be a good fight for him?

John is ready and willing to fight anywhere between 137 and 142! FCR, lowkick, or K1. He should be fighting again Nov. 25 - 29th in France.

I think John's best challenges will come from European Countries. I'm sure there are fighters here in the US that could give him a good fight but they have made the jump to mma.
