What matches are the most anticipated at this years NAC? My vote is for the Brandon Banda vs. Scott Clark MTR matchup.

Now that is a good call!
Scott Clark is DEFINITELY a must see fighter! My few picks would have to be... and this is just a first stab cause I haven't been hawking the registration list "too much" .... but: In the FCR division: Michael Harris & Kevin Engel: Mostly because of how Harris preformed at the Regionals... Engel is going to be a great test. I am surprised that Kevin has not turned Professional though. Evan Thompson & Kevin Nedley: Thompson has great skills (obviously trains with one of the top schools) and Nedley is just a machine... GREAT hands and inside movement... look for a KO when these 2 meet in the ring. Those are just a two matches that I feel will be talked about after the NAC. Just like Morello and Hudson was talked about after the 04 NAC. -c |

I think, and this is the one Team Prathet have been wanting, Junior Girls Lightweight Division.
The 2004 IKF NAC Champ against the 2005 IKF CRC Champ, Rematch?? Lauren Herrig vs Kayla Oudthone. Kayla's only losses where to Rochelle Williams, who lost to Ms. Herrig last year, but who Kayla beat this past March. Where is Rochelle Williams???? we wait for the final match ups. Team Prathet |

I agree, if Kayla and Lauren would have the opportunity to fight again, it would definitely be a "must see" fight! However, I think things would end a little differently this time then in March. Mainly because I have seen Lauren fight many times and she definitely had an off night.
But since they are both entered in different divisions, they wont have a chance of a rematch. It appears the Lightweight division will be Kayla fighting our girl, Naomi, which could prove to be rather interesting in itself. So I guess I have to agree that the Lightweight division fight will be one not to miss.

David,
Lauren would love the opportunity to avenge the loss to Kayla in March. However, Kayla and Lauren are in different weight classes this year. I guess we won't get a chance to see it. Perhaps another time. Lauren is at 120lbs or lighter. She definitely had an off night in March against Kayla as Pam said.

Dean,
Yes that would be a good match. But whether it was a good night or not, Kayla won. In a Unanimous Decision. All but her fights that she was won have been unanimous, other than the lossess she had. Lauren, is a fighter though, I've seen her also, But no one has seen Kayla fight either. So I don't think we can pass judgement about if lauren had a off night. Kayla said she will lose the weight, if she needs to. In fact she is going to lose it so she can get that fight. She says "Let's get it On!". She can not wait for the rematch that lauren is avenging. Till then, David Oudthone |

Hold on David, The excitement is great, but once registered, you can't just decied to lose weight to face someone of your choice. Lauren has a match in her division and Kayla has a match in her division. In fact, Kayla's match is one of ours and she is definitely no slouch. If you two want a rematch then do it November 5th on our card up here. It is an All Female card. Not a four hour event either, just the normal 2+ hours. Much better show, classy vegas style, etc. Kayla won the title here, why not rematch here? We can check the rankings after NAC and maybe if Kayla is ranked high enough then they can fight for a U.S. title this time. Kayla has more time to lose the weight safely then.

When we first entered Kayla, we assumed that Lauren would at least weigh alittle more than the last time, above the 123.1lb mark, we entered Kayla at a safe weight we thought that would put her in that weight class. Not over the 130 weight. We figured 127 was safe, but was wrong. We wanted lauren, kayla, and rochelle williams again to fight, we figured with the circumstances with these 3 girls the last 3 years, this would be the one that told the whole story. ---Rochelle, in 2003 who beat Lauren, who beat Kayla, 2004, Lauren beats, Rochelle who beats Kayla, and then 2005, Kayla beats Lauren. But we were wrong, Lauren did not gain like we thought she would, as with age that is. So, if Kayla weighs in at 123, does she default???? or will the IKF, put her in that weight class?? which I have seen before at the NAC. I read some where, that to make a better division, they would like to put at least 4 people in a division to make it more competitive. I say, put them all in in class of 122-129, a weight everyone can achieve. Kayla Oudthone Lauren Herrig Naomi Ferguson Stephanie Han Rochelle Williams Don't know much about Stephanie Han though, just has some affiliations with the Olympic boxing. Wondering the where abouts of Rochelle Williams. Just my thoughts, anyone else??? |

David, So you are saying that you entered Kayla in a division based on the girls you were hoping she would fight and not entering her by what she actually weighs and just fighting whoever is in the division? wow, there is a lot more strategy to this then I thought. And here we have just weighed our fighters and put down the weight and figured they would fight whoever is in that division. We need to start planning better. As far as the weight goes...... according to the IKF's "rules", here is what it states.... *All Fighters must choose a WEIGHT CLASS to Fight in when they register. *Fighters MUST Competeat the Finals in the SAME Weight Class as the Regional level event they fought in, or as first registered in. UNLESS there are no fighters in or close to their weight-division and rule style. In this case, they will be asked to change weight class and if necessary, rule style to have a bout. *If a fighter weighs-in heavier than their registered fight weight division, whether at the Regional Level or the Finals, they will be given "2 HOURS" to LOSE the Weight to make their Registered weight class. *NO FIGHTER MAY "GAIN" Weight to make their weight class. If a Fighter weighs-in UNDER their weight class, they will be automatically disqualified from competition without any refund of any registration fees. *If after 2 hours, the fighter is still unable to make their registered weight, they will be disqualified from competition whether at the Regional Level or the Finals, without any refund of registration fees. So according to their rules, as posted, Kayla needs to be gaining some weight so she can fight in the division you registered her in, since she is not allowed to fight under weight. If you would like to see these girls all rematching to declare who is actually the best, why not either promote an event so you can line them up the way you want it to go down, or take Pete up on his suggestion of having them rematch where they originally fought.... at a RoundKick Rumble on November 5th.
